Coronavirus update

The Coronavirus (COVID-19) situation has quickly escalated around the world, causing uncertainty in our societies. Government restrictions, travel bans and a slow-down of economies are affecting all of us. First and foremost we want to remind all project partners of NCF-financed projects that your safety and health - and those of the people around us - should be prioritised at this moment. Please do not take any risks in this regard. We recommend that you follow the instructions and recommendations given by your respective governments, as well as follow the health advice of WHO.

The NCF team is closely monitoring the situation and is currently deliberating ways to abate the pandemic’s impact on our project portfolio. Our objective is to keep the projects operational through increased flexibility, however, this can only be done within the restrictions of our mandate. We are in contact with the project implementers to better understand the impact of the Coronavirus on our project portfolio.

NDF as an organisation is fully operational and the NCF team continues to provide active support to you. Since the outbreak of the coronavirus Covid-19, the Nordic Development Fund has taken a number of actions in order to protect the staff and to ensure business continuity. Consequently most of NDF’s staff is working remotely. As our offices are staffed only irregularly, incoming mail will be checked less frequently. If you send us regular mail, please send us scanned copies per email to ensure that everything gets through on time. Also, all business travel has been suspended. This means that any planned project visits will have to be postponed for the time being.
